Xbox Live Arcade Sales Chart - 3/22/08 (Brain Challenge ~26k, Doom 3k) - News

'N+' finally gets toppled by suprising casual juggernaught 'Brain Challenge', debuting it's first full week on the charts with 26,000 units - #3rd overall for best full weeks. FPS classic 'Doom' increases units sold strongly by 110%, and Assault Heroes does very similarly.

Wow. Great week. The overall market, despite no new games (and the 2 new XBLA Hits comprising an increase of a meager 3,500 units), the market is up by about 5,000 units (from 160k to 165k from prev. week).
- Brain Challenge brings in over $260,000 this week, which is awe-inspiring. The fatherless offspring of DS Megahit Brain Training is preforming like it's Big N counterpart, and has great legs on it's first full week - increasing sales by 160%, despite debuing oh-so strongly. This is a higher increase than N+ had in the same time period. Expect 'Challenge' to have great legs this month. 65,000-70,000 units should be expected for it's first month.
- N+ finally broke it's stranglehold on #1 to a game of similar preformances - both titles had userbases outside of the Arcade service. Still, N+ managed a great 5th week at nearly 8,000 units. N+ ends it's first full month with a whopping 79,000 units - making it the 2nd fastest-selling title in it's first month, right next to Rez HD. In the same timeframe, however, N+ is selling about twice the units week-over-week thanks to it's 6.36x multiplier (Rez HD had a 3.93x).
- Doom increases a small bit in overall revenue. With only 3 days to chart this change, I'd expect a strong increase next week for both Doom and AH to around 50% more sales next week vs. this week.
- Bliss Island increases as well: it increased roughly 120% over last week, marking a better-than-typical first full week. Maybe this bomb will have some legs.
- Poker Smash, in totally unrelated news, finally stopped dropping so hard - it had been dropping significantly each week after it's great 20k first week. This week, it only dropped 10%, signalling that it might have good legs afterall.
- Triggerheart Excelica drops another gargantuan figure - down 40% from last week. It's now in no-mans land, sales wise. It should start selling softly now, but with 1 week left before it's first full month - won't even get close to fellow Shmup (which it beat, handily first week) Omega 5.
