Xbox 360 v PS3
Here we have three charts representative of the three main regions as recorded by VGChartz, and a global chart which brings all of the data together. The line on each graph represents the gap in the install base in millions (sales through to consumers), and the title indicates which console is in the lead in the particular region covered.
Americas
360 Lead is 9,143,494
Japan
PS3 Lead is 3,616,090
Others (Europe, Asia, Africa, Australasia
360 Lead is 143,633
Global
360 Lead is 5,671,037
HD Consoles (360 + PS3) vs Wii
For the Wii to reach 50% market share the graph line must drop below zero
HD Lead is 2,639,619

Last August PS3 sored in sales due to a PS3 Slim, but look back at 2008. Microsoft sales sored because of games. I think in 2010 Microsoft will see a big jump in it's fall sales over PS3 with a likely superior fall line-up, Project Natal, and a rumored 360 slim.
However, what about Others?? The difference is 140K, and PS3 outsells the 360 on a weekly bases but 20-40K. With a Stong spring line-up for the PS3, no XBL Gold subscriptions, and Blu-Ray, which is begining to become popular, it's hard to see Microsoft holding it's lead there. I think PS3 will get ahead of 360 (again - stupid error??), but it won' hold it this fall. Gran Turismo will be awesome, but it won't be enough to hold PS3's dominant sales there.
2 to 3 more weeks til PS3 is on top (again) in Others.
Wow so close in others the ps3 is definetly gonna get past 360 with in 2 years time
and again (last time maybe?) we are about to see PS3 passing 360 in Others

@Squall_Leonhart, looking at the results for the PS3 we can see a healthy growth for the PS3 for months to come. games like ff13 and GOW3 will sure help push the sales of the PS3.

PlayStation 3 is awesome i think. I have so much fun with Yakuza3 and FF13 =) And next week God of War 3 for me ^^
Shouldn't be too long until the Others region shows as PS3 lead (again) lol :-)
