Here we have three charts representative of the three main regions as recorded by VGChartz, and a global chart which brings all of the data together. The line on each graph represents the gap in the install base in millions (sales through to consumers), and the title indicates which console is in the lead in the particular region covered.
Americas

For the Wii to reach 50% market share the graph line must drop below zero

sales data are weird. on pages espeña say luga ps3 is second in Europe and third 360.
each week are negative sales for the ps3 on the main page VGCHARTS Why?
Not only that the games also the uncharted 2 as they had with 2.80 and now say it is 2.60. Sony just announced that Uncharted 2 has shipped more than 3 million
Lol @ HD's duking it out. They better pay attention to the Wii; it is very near to 50% market share...
We come to this site for accruate numbers. We aren't getting those accurate numbers.
Every week the previous numbers change and it's usually negative for the PS3.
On the back of the Japanese Final Fantasy XIII launch the PS3 for the first time ever sold a million in a single week, but the following week it was changed to where the PS3 sold closer to 900k.
I don't get this site. Now the 360 lead is over 6 million again, where last week it was in the 5 millions. Which the week before that the 360 lead was almost into the 4 millions.
next week will be at least 1mln more X360 in Europe :)
What the heck.... in december PS3 was in lead in europe.. and it's still outselling ps3 in europe weekly basis... what's happening is just the xbox360 undertracked or maybe microsoft payed a bit money to change the sales??? usually vgchartz undertrack by a 300k not 1million... and the europe gap is 731k?? it was like 400k in lead of the ps3... anyway why bothering... PS3 is having it's best year 2010
I usually hang out in the pc forums so i don't pay much attention to the ps3/360 charts. But i'm really surprised that the 360 still has it's early launch lead plus alittle bit more. I thought that the ps3 slim caused to gap to close greatly. I guess i should check out the charts more.
maybe it's just me but it seems everytime there's an adjustment, 360 is always up...just how much are you guys undertracking it?

Okay for the last 2 adjustments, but if there's going to be another negative one for the Wii + PS3 and the 360 is again the only one gaining this website will loose it's credibility very fast.
I do find it funny that each time this gap charts review is out the numbers have totally changed even though the PS3 has been looking like it has been reducing the gap but infact it has increased each month lol
