by William D'Angelo , posted 22 hours ago / 1,605 ViewsThe studio head at Night Dive Studios Stephen Kick in a post on social media might have teased a remaster of the 2002 GameCube horror game, Eternal Darkness.
"Eternal Darkness is one of my all-time favorites and it deserves the treatment I know Night Dive Studios is capable of. Keep your eye on our Deep Dives," said Kick.
Eternal Darkness was not a big seller on the GameCube having sold less than 500,000 units lifetime, however, it is now considered a cult classic. It was published by Nintendo and developed by Silicon Knights.

That would be amazing. One of my favorite games of all time.
When I came to the VGChartz, I could just barely see the top of the black and blue and before scrolling down knew it was Eternal Darkness right away. Would be cool if they do come out with it, I remember really enjoying it.
Love it.
Really hope this happens. Eternal Darkness and (Silicon Knights' other Gamecube title) Twin Snakes are two of the main reasons I still have my Gamecube, and it would be nice if more people could play any of these long-trapped titles.
I know they've been wanting to do this for a long time now, and Nintendo previously rejected the idea, so would be cool if they've won them over.
Would nintendo allow it on multiple platforms like Wonderful 101? Or would they be working with nintendo specifically for a switch 2 release? you'd think if it was nintendo's decision it would be switch online.
Such a crazy game, wish I still had my GC and Eternal Darkness. Would love a chance to play it again.
amazing game, would be cool to release the original on nintendo online expansion followed by news of a remaster.
I believe it when I see it. There have been talks about a sequel several times, or at least a so called spiritual successor. So far nothing has come of it.
