Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update to Launch in 2 Parts Later This Year - News

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital have announced the free Spec IV update for Gran Turismo 7 will release in two parts later this year.

Across these two updates, players can look forward to new circuits and cars, additional ways to compete, and features designed to make the world of Gran Turismo more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
A new circuit and the return of a legacy circuit
The first new circuit is Sportsland SUGO in Japan, available in October. The circuit is known for its elevation changes, flowing layout, and the familiar Dunlop bridge.
The second is Autumn Ring, a circuit deeply connected to the history of Gran Turismo, first appearing in the original title. I am very pleased to bring this circuit into Gran Turismo 7 as part of the December release and allow millions of players to experience it for the first time.
12 new cars
A total of 12 cars will be added across both Spec IV updates. The exact cars will be revealed at a later time.
New ways to drive and compete
Spec IV will also introduce a selection of new game features and even offer more ways for players to find their own challenge.
Online Drift Trials will bring drivers together to test their control, precision, and style. Shuffle Races will offer randomised conditions for online races, encouraging players to adapt to new strategies to win.
Additional features will include new Driving Experiences, an expanded Car Viewer, new progression elements, and a Concierge feature for car buying. More details on these features will come soon.

Family Mode
Family Mode will be included in the December update. Family Mode is a new way to make Gran Turismo 7 more accessible and enjoyable when playing with family and friends.
To make it easier to share the fun of cars and driving, Family Mode is designed as a welcoming starting point for players with different levels of driving experience. The mode will also offer something fresh and fun for those who already spend time in Gran Turismo 7.

GT7 is such a great game and it just keeps getting more and more content. So happy for Autumn Ring to be back, can't wait to play it in GT7 looks.
I don't think most modern games hold up to the golden era. But in this case, I'll make an exception. Normally, when I got back and play the OG stuff, I enjoy it a lot more. Games like FFX, KH, OOT. But when I tried playing GT3 earlier in the year, I was SHOCKED. The physics felt... dare I say... jank? It's one of the rare times where I can say that yes, the most recent release is the franchise's best, easily. At least when it comes to the physics/weight of actually driving cars. It's the best "feeling" racing game I've ever played, actually.
Driving was vastly improved with GT Sport during last gen because of the focus from online competitive that game had. Since Sport it has played much better.
GT7 is without a doubt the best playing game in the franchise. It has also been getting more and more cars and has now a pretty big selection as well, it'll be nearly 600 by the end of this year. It still doesn't compare to GT6 numbers but all the cars being premium in GT7 is a big difference too. GT7 cars look so damn good.
There are better simulators out there based on people claims, like iRacing, but as a racing videogame I don't think anything compares to be honest.
I remember being so hyped for the game, bought it at launch, and still haven't touched it.. i keep saying i need to find the time, hopefully by Christmas
My most played PS5 game and they keep giving me reasons to come back for more.
I'm expecting at least a GT controller for the up coming 30th anniversary... maybe even some side panels.

Uh... To really make it enjoyable with family and friends, add AI in splitscreen lol... 1v1 isn't fun.
But the continued support of GT7 has been great.
