At today’s State of Play, we shared a first look at two new limited edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI which capture that unmistakable Vice City energy: DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition.

The black and white limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers each capture the essence of Vice City, from bright days along the coast to vibrant city nights. Both editions feature a shimmering, color-shifting finish that brings together the hues of a Vice City sunset and the glow of neon lights. They both also feature custom palm tree details molded directly into the controller, adding a unique tactile element alongside official Grand Theft Auto VI branding.

The DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition embodies Vice City at daybreak, from its white sands and pastel skies to all its laid-back glamour.  The DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition will be available in limited quantities globally at direct.playstation.com and at participating retailers.

The DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition captures the energy of Vice City’s iconic nightlife. The DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition will be available in limited quantities exclusively through direct.playstation.com where available* and in other regions through select retailers.

In Grand Theft Auto VI, the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers instantly respond to the action and provide dynamic resistance, bringing the sights, sounds and sensations of Jason and Lucia’s story to life in your hands. Well.... this is as physical as GTA VI is gonna get. they had a missed opportunity to at least make one look like the woman in a bikini.

Those are some really boring-looking controllers. There's definitely some good elements, but overall, I can't say I like them.

I like the colours, kind of. It's their distribution that's the issue. I guess my main issues stem from the "base" controller. I've always thought the DualSense itself looks absolutely hideous, and it seems really hard for custom controllers to look good either they they need to adhere to the style of the "base" controller. I reckon that's why I find the colour distribution here too boring, despite the great colour choices.

I feel the opposite, I have so many different LE Dualsenses, while I never had any LE controller before, they got it right so many times to target my tastes personally lol. Also helps its the best controller I ever used too.

But yeah, if you don't like it than its a hard sell.

Yeah, definitely. I have only one DualSense, the white Ghost of Yotei one, and somewhat impressively, I find it even more hideous that the default one. But that was the console that came with Ghost of Yotei, and it didn't cost any extra and I was going to get that game anyway, so here we are. The controller is great though, just really ugly.

I can see why some people might like the aesthetic, and I'm sure there are many Limited Edition controllers that improve upon the default controller too. Personally I'm just incompatible with the DualSense aesthetic in general. I think this one's done in fairly good taste, it's just a bit boring.

So you have the LE PS5 Slim for Ghost of Yotei? I have the controller but the console looks great with the mountain engraved in a liquid gold color paint.

It's fine tho, we all like different things.

Yeah. The console is done in relatively good taste, the controller on the contrary. I'm not a huge fan of the console either in a regular living room such as mine, but it's OK.

To each their own, certainly. No right or wrong opinions there.
