Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy VII Revelation will launch for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on April 8, 2027.

In Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Cloud Strife and his loyal companions face a world that teeters on the brink of annihilation. In the game, the entire planet is freely explorable via the Highwind airship. Players can drop in via parachute anywhere, seamlessly transitioning from air to land. With Meteor descending and the Weapons unleashing terror, the planet’s conflicts are many, and the party will need to divide and conquer. Choose where to go, who to help and in what order as the planet itself fights for survival. Make one last stand alongside a beloved cast of legendary heroes, making decisions along the journey that can impact aspects of their stories. Soo still physical on ps5
Not entirely, it's only one disc this time instead of two that Rebirth had. So only a portion is on the disc and the rest requires an internet connection to download. It requires an internet connection for all platforms as S2 is using a GKC. Square cheaped out on the PS5/Xbox version by only making one disc skus.
How many parts is this remake going to be? Genuinely curious. Is this the finale?
Yeah that was announced years ago that it would be a trilogy. Also plays into the title of the game being Revelation

I'm in the same boat, but a certain FF superfan on this site took it personally when I tried to make a joke about it.
Roughly 20% of the OG game is in the first part in terms of adaptation and then about 40 percent each in the next two parts.
Let's go! Part 1 was released on my birthday and this one is just before! They know how to appeal to their audience.
The finale is finally in sight, can't wait.
