Developer ONE-O-ONE Games announced The Alighieri Circle: Dante's Bloodline will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on September 10 for $19.99 / £19.50. the game will also launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 later in 2026.
"We decided what kind of terror we wanted to portray: not the fear of dying, but the fear of being seen," said game director Gaia Righelli. "Because sometimes the most terrifying thing is someone or something that understands you completely."
Creative director Emanuele Miccianza added, "When most people think of Dante or Dante’s Inferno, they imagine something very concrete: monsters, demons, action. But when I read the Divine Comedy, I didn’t see an action story; I saw a person going through an inner journey. That became our central idea: Hell is internal."
