Sonic Frontiers Sales Top 5 Million Units - Sales

Sega announced Sonic Frontiers has sold over five million units.
"We've Found Our Flame - and it's you!" said Sega. "Thank you for helping Sonic Frontiers surpass 5 MILLION copies sold!"
In celebration of the sales milestone, Sega has made Sonic’s shoes from Sonic Adventure 2 available for all players.
Sonic Frontiers released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in November 2022, and for the Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2026.

I imagine the OG Sonic Generation hit over 5 million. It was a hit on consoles and it was always available on Steam.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if Sonic Frontiers is or becomes the most successful 3D Sonic game ever.
Pretty impressive figures for a 3D platformer. As Salnax has already pointed out, biggest confirmed figures for a 3D Sonic game to date. Well deserved IMO! Really looking forward to what Sonic Team has up their sleeve for the sequel. :)
It's a very fun game. Unpolished, yes, but it gives the player a lot of challenges, a very large map to explore, lots of things to do, and a good balance of action and speed segments.
