Even with all the uncertainty in the world, I think it could take until around 2028 for Switch 2's sales to fall below Switch's launch aligned. Fiscal year 2020 for Switch was one of the highest ever for a video game platform with 27 million plus units sold.
Switch 2's highest year both in the calendar and fiscal years will probably be around 20-23 million which is still very high. And I think a pretty reliable Switch 2 yearly hardware total from 2026 onward will be in the high teens until the later portion of the system's life where it gets around 10 million units and then way under that.
