Capcom Updates Its Best-Sellers List - Monster Hunter Wilds at 10.5M, RE4 Remake at 10.6M, More - Sales

Capcom has updated its list of Platinum Titles, games that have sold over one million units as of June 30, 2025. The list includes 124 games with sales over one million units, 65 over two million units, 17 over five million units, and 11 over 10 million units sold.

Resident Evil 4 remake sold 700,000 units to bring lifetime sales to 10.6 million units, Resident Evil 2 remake sold 400,000 units to bring sales to 15.8 million units, and Resident Evil 3 remake sold 300,000 units to bring lifetime sales to 10.2 million units. 

Resident Evil 7: biohazard sold 700,000 units to bring lifetime sales to 15.4 million units and Resident Evil Village sold 900,000 units to bring sales to 12.2 million units.

Monster Hunter Wilds sold 400,000 units in the quarter to bring lifetime sales to 10.5 million units.

Monster Hunter: World sold 200,000 units in the quarter to bring lifetime sales to 21.7 million units, while the Iceborne expansion sold 200,000 units for a total of 15.4 million units.

Monster Hunter Rise sold 400,000 units in the quarter to bring lifetime sales to 17.5 million units. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sold 400,000 units to bring lifetime sales to 10.2 million units.

Devil May Cry 5 sold 1.4 million units to bring sales to 10.5 million units, Street Fighter 6 sold 600,000 units to bring lifetime sales to 5.2 million units, and Dragon's Dogma 2 sold 100,000 units in the quarter to bring lifetime sales to 3.8 million units.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 entered the charts with one million unit sold.

DMC 5 was on sale for $10 recently. That's when I bought it. I wonder if that is the reason for the high reported sales of over 1 million units?

It coincided with the release of the tv show and renewed interest. dmc4 SE was also one of the higher selling capcom games of the quarter

I think Wilds's reception caught up to it and a lot of PS and Xbox gamers skipped Rise, so I think this is them trying out the game now especially since you can get the base game + dlc for $20.

A lot of World fans were biased against Rise because it's a Switch game and made by Team B, not Team A like World, so they snubbed Rise and waited for the "World sequel" instead. After seeing what Wilds turned out to be, I think some of those fans are finally getting off their high horses and giving Rise a chance!

I mean Rise had done something like ~16M in sales prior to the launch of Wilds, so I wouldn't say it was "snubbed" - at least not in the long run.

Looks like older MH titles are doing good.
I think the reason MH Wilds isn't that high is because of the backlash it got from optimization and lack of content. I think Rise is that high is because on PS and Xbox it was skipped by a lot of people, but since Wilds's reception is bad they're trying out Rise.
