Is the Switch down 40.1% YoY or 48.5% as the table says? Anyways, I think that less than a 50% drop is a very strong hold for the Switch 1, especially considering its age and, of course, the Switch 2's launch

On July the Switch was 75% down YoY, if that continues for the next months then the drop might actually get to 50%

I don't doubt that. But having hold less the 50% YoY decline for half the year is still impressive imo

PS5 falls below 2022. This will be tough times for Sony in Japan until PS6 launches.

Sony needs to lower the price of the PS5 in Japan; I see no other way to sell more. Sony has lost focus on Japanese games like Nintendo.

Based on how the PS5 (and it's software) have sold in Japan the PS6 will most definitely do worse.

Unless the PS6 is a hybrid like the Switch... I think that'll help PlayStation do stronger in Japan.

People say that, but the Vita is still the worst selling PS system in Japan. I think it's going to take way more from PS than releasing a portable system.

Is it too early to say the PS5 won't reach 8.5 million? And will end up as the 2nd worst selling PS system in Japan.
