The VGChartz sales comparison series of articles are updated monthly and each one focuses on a different sales comparison using our estimated video game hardware figures. The charts include comparisons between the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, as well as with older platforms. The gap chart marks a new all-time low and an invalidation of the double bottom. In the stock market this would signal high danger and you would sell PS5 stocks. Together with this head-and-shoulders chart pattern with a very small right shoulder this prints a complete loss of momentum. PS5 needs to get above the previous local high (-200k) within the next 6 months to have any chance to turn this around (unlikely). Otherwise a diagonal resistance (from left shoulder to right shoulder) is also confirmed with a downward trend continuation.

With the PS5 now selling less than 10k a week the gap is just going to get bigger. The PS5 will end up selling worse than the PS4 in the end.
