PS5 and NSW holding up well!
This year (2025) is hard to predict how much each system will do.
-For Switch it's going into it's 9th year and don't know if a price cut is coming to help sales. With the Switch 2 sales for Switch will dip.
-For PS5 and Xbox Series, this is the year we will see mostly (90%+) of games not being on PS4 and Xbox One, so those people still on those platforms are more likely to upgrade. Both platforms will have sales and possibly a price cut at the end of the year. Now of course speaking of games the big one is GTA 6 (and probably COD and sports games) only being on current consoles. Another one is the Switch 2, where if this year is an extremely strong year (not just from Nintendo but 3rd party) it could take attention away from PS5 and Xbox Series.
With that said my predictions for this year in Americas are...
-PS5: 5.8 - 6.0 million
-Xbox Series: 2.8 - 3.0 million
-Switch: 1.8 - 2.0 million
-Bonus Switch 2: 8.0 - 8.5 million
-33% is quite good for an 8 years old handheld thats about to be replaced! Seriously? Why downvoting. Only because its the truth? For the whole year the Switch is down ~25% wich is amazing for an 8th year. So much sensibility going on in some hearts, thats unbeliavable. Soon i will have to talk so some people like if they where children. Only because they don't want to see some systems perform well...
weird to call XBSXS a handheld but okay. (and im pretty sure it’s only 4yo…)
I am talking about the Switch.
