So the Switch, with a 27% drop should go from 3.5 to 2.5M in December and end up short of 12M (11.8) for 2024. If the drop is like in November, it should end up around 12.6. With the November drop it should clear 150M the last week of January, and with a bit over a million in Feb/March it should end up around 151.M. Ds is done.
PS5 sold less in year 4 than year 3? Is that normal or is PS5 about to dip further below PS4 than previously expected?
If Xbox is also selling less... which it is, that would mean people really aren't jumping from Xbox to PS but actually jumping to PC and potentially Nintendo lol
Still sold more than 15.000.000, that's quite an accomplishment. Releasing the PS5 Pro was also a move in the right direction, as it is close to be sold out.
In wich world is PS5Pro "sold out"?! In Germany you can buy it without problems. Enough stock all over the place. But hey i get the excuse! Its "too expensive"!😘
If we didn't had three years of component shortage, the numbers would have been a lot larger, as it was almost impossible to get hands on a PS5, this didn't happen on PS4 times.
I think PS reported around 20 million new PS users who never owned a PS console before. So not sure that's right.
Based on current shipments and Sony's own forecast the PS5 is expected to be close to 2 million less than the PS4 by March 31st 2025.
March 31st 2024 PS5: 59.3 million with a 18 million forecast.
March 31st 2017 PS4: 60.0 million and it shipped 19 million that fiscal year.
So, we're looking at least a 1.7 million difference by March 31st 2025. Depending on if they reach that 18 million target and their projections for next fiscal year the PS5 could fall further behind. If you're wondering the PS4 did 17.8 million in the next fiscal year the PS5 is going into.

RIP X-Box, PlayStation is selling almost 6:1 , this has been happening for the last 3 generations. Maybe would be better for M$ as the biggest software company in the World to start making good games for all other platforms and give up on their console division. Don't get me wrong, I like XBox to exist as competition is good for everybody.
