Rare Teases Everwild in Happy Holidays Message - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 01 January 2025 / 4,692 ViewsIt has been several years since Rare showcased Everwild with the last trailer releasing back in July 2020.
Developer Rare in a Happy Holidays message to the fans teased the game with a new image (viewable below).
"Happy holidays, whoever's seeing this! Hope you're closing the year out in style and, as it's the day of fine gifts and finer food, here's our offering - a delicious png for you to enjoy! Right, we're off to eat a Patagotitan's hypothesised weight in sweets. 'Til 2025!" reads the message from Rare.

I completely forgot about this game. I hope it comes out at some point.
For the past few years I thought it had been cancelled.
Uh oh..we have Xbox related news. We need to make a safe space for Cerebralbore101. Quick, someone write 4 Nintendo and Sony articles each to counterbalance!
We also have too many Xbox fans on this site according to Cerebralbore and that's a big no no. It's time Xbox fans deleted their accounts, starting with the mastermind behind the Xbox takeover, William D'Angelo!
My God, you need help
also this article text shows a trailer from july 2020? but wasn't it also shown at xbox 2019 ? or even earlier on.
I was thinking of this game few days ago. Swore it was dead. Perhaps not?
I have been very patient on waiting for this one. I don't care what people say, Rare has remained in my top 5 developers of all time, from the N64 to even now. Only crap quality games they have made were the kinect games, and that's due to it being shovelware basically.
Now it's impossible to do what they did in N64, in such a few years (1996-2001),including the cancelled but full developed (and leaked some years ago) Dinosaur Planet for N64
.Not for a Studio, but for a BIG company.
So many great games in such few years.
I grew up playing Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, Blast Corps etc etc, I gotta say I think Viva Pinata is some of the their greatest work.
How many years has it been? It was in production forever before they showed anything from it as well.
How many years is it at this point?
Can't wait to go into The Fantastical World of Everwild
My prediction: we'll a vertical slice of it at MS' June Showcase. It'll be highly-edited, but with enough gameplay glimpses to at least understand its skeleton. On par with Perfect Dark's past trailer.
