The charts include comparisons between the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, as well as with older platforms. There are articles based on our worldwide estimates, as well as the US, Europe, and Japan.
This monthly series compares the aligned worldwide sales of the PlayStation 5 and Wii.
The PlayStation 5 launched in November 2020, while the Nintendo Wii launched in November 2006. This does mean the holiday periods for the two consoles do lineup.

May 2024 is the 43rd month the PlayStation 5 has been available for. In the latest month, the gap grew in favor of the Nintendo Wii when compared to the aligned launch of the PlayStation 5 by 55,594 units.
In the last 12 months, the Nintendo Wii has outsold the PlayStation 5 by 285,338 units. The Nintendo Wii is ahead of the PlayStation 5 by 11.60 million units.
The PlayStation 5 has sold 58.78 million units in 43 months, while the Nintendo Wii sold 70.38 million units. Month 43 for the PlayStation 5 is May 2024 and for the Nintendo Wii it is May 2010.
The Nintendo Wii crossed 80 million in month 50, 90 million in month 61, and 100 million in month 85. The Nintendo Wii sold 101.63 million units lifetime. The PS5 is 42.85 million units behind lifetime Wii sales.

I think ps5 and wii will have the same units sold , within a 2 million diference
Do you mean like lifetime sales, when is all is said and done with PS5? I would agree with that. I think PS5 will be right in there, in that 100-105 million area, just behind or above PlayStation original. That would leave the PS4 as still the 2nd best selling PS console, and the PS3 as the worst selling one.
