Developer Game Science announced the action RPG, Black Myth: Wukong, will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on August 20, 2024.

Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. The story is based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. You shall set out as the Destined One to venture into the challenges and marvels ahead, to uncover the obscured truth beneath the veil of a glorious legend from the past.

I have been SOOOO EXCITED for this ever since the first crazy gameplay trailer and I can't believe it releases next year!!!
I wonder how much of the amazing stuff is cinematic vs gameplay. Hopefully this game has substance and not just style. If they manage to pull it off, then the japanese have competition with the chinese, and they'll have to up their game. Which would be great. When was the last good chinese developd game?
