Nightdive Studios has announced System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition will launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, alongside the previously announced PC version.
Those who purchase the PC version of the remake of System Shock on Steam or GOG will receive a free copy of System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition.

System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition is a remaster of the 1999 classic science-fiction horror action role-playing game, System Shock 2. The series antagonist, the malevolent rogue AI SHODAN, is back and better than ever.

Nightdive is busy these days. I finished the remake of the original System Shock that Nighdive made just a couple months ago and it was fantastic! I'm surprised the remake still hasn't made it to consoles either yet. Hopefully they eventually give System Shock 2 the same treatment.
Thats great news, being a huge bioshock fan I always wanted to play system shock 2.
Find it a little weird they made a full remake of 1 and then a remaster of 2. Seems fairly likely 2 will get a remake too somewhere down the line so this feels like a bit of a half step.
The 1st one was a remaster as well. A remake would be what Capcom have been doing with their Resident Evil series.
Ehm no. It is literally built from scratch in a new engine. That's a remake (as in made again).
Wouldn't mind playing it if it comes to gamepass.
