by William D'Angelo , posted on 13 December 2022 / 1,687 ViewsPlatinumGames vice president Hideki Kamiya in an interview with IGN Japan was asked if there was any chance there would ever be a Bayonetta 4 or Bayonetta 5.
Kamiya teased that the team talks internally that they could make nine game in the franchise and he can't see the series ever ending.
"I personally can't conceive the Bayonetta series ever ending," said Kamiya. "I want to make a Bayonetta 4 and Bayonetta 5, and I intend on pitching them to the company.
"We often talk internally about how we could make nine of them. I want people who love the Bayonetta series to believe me when I say: 'I'm not going to do anything that will betray the players.'"

Publisher Nintendo and developer PlatinumGames last week announced the action adventure game, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, for the Nintendo Switch. It will launch on March 17, 2023.

Cool, but how many Astral Chains could you make?
I think I vaguely recall them saying it could be a trilogy.
Since it's "Astral" chain I guess it depends on the number of stars in the sky
Then do it.
I saw someone on Twitter say they were milking the Bayo franchise when this report came out 🤦🏻♂️
Well if 1 game per decade is milking a franchise, I don't know what CoD is
Sounds like the plan to keep Bayonetta going for a bunch more genrations.
Im all for it as long as you can squeeze in some time for future Nier Automata games, and new projects.
Yes please release it yearly and charge for skins.
Wish he'd make those games on a system where the graphics don't look . like ass. It's like taking a step back 15 yrs ago.
Astral Chain looks amazing on the system. This isn’t a hardware problem.
They don't look ass, maybe the Shibuya level slighlty does, but that's just the first one
Ok not ass, it's playable, but every time I see it, I feel like i've got back in time, and I can't help imagine what it would be like playing on a new nintendo or any recent system
bro talking about not betraying the player after putting out bayonetta 3. like dog i think thats a little late. how do you take THAT big of a downgrade from 2.
