New or returning PlayStation Plus are able to get a discount on an annual subscription to the service through December 20.

PlayStation Plus for a 12 month subscription is currently available for a $30/£25 discount, which means a one year subscription to PlayStation Plus Essential will cost you $29.99/£24.99.

12 months of PlayStation Plus Extra is discounted to $69.99/£58.99 and PlayStation Plus Premium is available for $89.99/£74.99.

this doesn't work for everyone. I didn't have PS+ since 2014, but it doesn't give me the discount.

Never saw one of those. In the recent past Sony even had people paying the difference between savings they had on promos for basic paid to complete the actual premium price.

Literally means if you are new or have expired. As in you are currently not a sub.

I subbed to Extra to see what it was like for my last 2 months. a total of £3.70 for 2 months of 'trialing' and playing some games. Cancelled the resub as don't want to pay £84 as don't think it's worth it for me personally. So any resub would have been for extra then which I didn't want.

I usually get my resub from CDKeys or Shopto sales in the new year anyway.
