The  PlayStation Store pre-order page for Street Fighter 6 had revealed the game will launch on June 2, 2023 before the date was changed to just 2023. This likely means there will be a good chance the release date will be announced at The Game Awards on December 8.

Street Fighter 6 is in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC Steam.

I hope this launches more complete that 5 did. While 5 turned into a great title, it took time and updates. This gen has been slow on the new fighters, with only Strive and a few smaller titles launching. Could really do with SF6 and T8 to pick things up.

No thanks, I don't buy 70 bucks free-to-play games. Maybe I'll buy the complete edition that should release in 5 or 6 years, after around 15 DLC characters will have been added to the roster. And that's only if they don't insult players with ridiculous censorship again.

I'm getting sick of cross gen games, we're over 2 years in start making some truly next gen games.

Why is it such a problem? The install base is still pretty low with next-gen consoles and the older gen still has a lot of players that games companies don't want to ignore (quell surprise).

Come on Capcom. Bring it to Gamepass.

Why do you always end you comments with 'haha', even when comments such as this don't even remotely seem like a joke?

Probably a coutoff point for how low they want to go with the min required specs, combined with the assumption that Xbox One owners either have a Series S/X, PS5 or Game Pass.

My guess is that they were doing the PC version with Microsoft's PC development tools, so it was relatively trivial to also release it for Series X|S as Microsoft has mostly harmonized game development between the two platforms. Xbox One development isn't nearly as closely tied to PC development as Series X|S is.

Add to that the larger PS4 install base, and the fact that they're even still selling PS4s, and that SF5 came out on PS4 but not Xbox One, and it all makes sense on multiple levels, IMO.
