Lost Ark Tops 1 Million Concurrent Players on Steam - News

Publisher Amazon Games and developer Smilegate's free-to-play action RPG, Lost Ark, has reached a new milestone today with over one million concurrent players on Steam, according to SteamDB.
As of the time of writing, Lost Ark has peaked at 1.06 million concurrent players. The player count is likely to keep growing over the coming hours.
The game ahead of its launch became available for those who purchased one of the four Founder’s Packs and it was able to surpass 500,000 concurrent players on Steam.
There are four other games that were able to surpass one million peak concurrent players - PUBG with 3.26 million concurrent players, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with 1.31 million players, Dota 2 with 1.30 million players, and Cyberpunk 2077 with 1.05 million players.

I wonder if I counted? I tried on Saturday and was in queue for more than 40 minutes so gave up. Played 2 Hades runs in that time.
This game is an amazing hit out of nowhere swinging for the fences type of deal bruh!
Don't these games peak early then fall off a cliff because streamers move on? Seems like we hear all the time how popular a game is for a few weeks then no mention of it ever again. Some MMO last year was doing well at first then people stopped playing.
They do but to hit 1m concurrent gamers is the 2nd most ever on Steam only behind PUBG at 3.2m.
