It should be noted the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S had a worldwide launch, while the PlayStation 5 launch was split over the course of two weeks. Also, the Nintendo Switch launched in March 2017, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S launched during the holidays in November 2020.

Through the first 52 weeks available worldwide the Nintendo Switch is ahead of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Switch is ahead of the PS5 by 0.69 million units and is 6.23 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 5.53 million units.
The Switch has sold 14.88 million in 52 weeks worldwide, while the PS5 sold 14.19 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 8.65 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 52 weeks, the Switch currently leads. The Switch has a 39.5 percent marketshare, the PS5 sits at 37.6 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 22.9 percent.

The Switch has sold 5.39 million in 52 weeks in the US, while the PS5 sold 5.03 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 3.93 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 52 weeks, the Switch currently leads. The Switch has a 37.5 percent marketshare, the PS5 sits at 35.1 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 27.4 percent.

The PlayStation 5 has been available for one week less than the Xbox Series X|S in Europe. After 51 weeks the PS5 is ahead of the Switch by 1.64 million units and is 2.71 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The Switch is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 1.07 million units.
The PS5 has sold 5.42 million in 51 weeks in Europe, while the Switch sold 3.78 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 2.72 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 51 weeks, the PlayStation 5 currently leads. The PS5 has a 45.5 percent marketshare, the Switch sits at 31.7 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 22.8 percent.

Through the first 52 weeks available in Japan the Switch is ahead of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S by a wide margin. The Switch is ahead of the PS5 by 2.62 million units and is 3.67 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 1.05 million units.
The Switch has sold 3.79 million units in 52 weeks in Japan, while the PS5 has sold 1.17 million units, and the Xbox Series X|S 0.12 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through 52 weeks, the Switch currently leads. The Switch has a 74.6 percent marketshare, the PS5 sits at 23.1 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 2.3 percent.

We'll see what happens but I think switch lead will grow by the end of year 2.
Switch outsold PS5 in Japan by 2.6m, while PS5 outsold Switch in Europe by 1.6m. Overall it's almost a tie.
I don't think it's almost a tie. From 1.6m to 2.6 is a whole + 1 million , 62,5% more. Switch is more sucessful in Japan than PS5 is in Europe if comparing each other
