Take-Two Interactive has released its latest earnings report for the quarter ending June 30, 2021 and in the report has provided an update on the latest sales figures for its best-selling franchises and provided an update on the sales of individual games.

Unsurprisingly, the Grand Theft Auto series is the best-selling franchise by Take-Two with over 350 million units sold-in. Grand Theft Auto V has now sold-in over 150 million units.

Grand Theft Auto V first launched in September 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It would later release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and is set to launch for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 11.

The Red Dead Redemption series with only two releases have sold-in nearly 60 million units worldwide. Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold-in over 38 million units and is the second best-selling title in the US over the past three years based on dollar sales.

The real news here is RDR2, really happy to see the game will reach 40M pretty soon, maybe even 50M in the future, which almost guarantee a sequel or maybe a gem in the same genre.

Me too, just waiting for a patch or re-release, which we know will happen. Would be beautiful if there could be a 60fps 1080p with ray tracing.

Who is still buying GTA V? I wonder what the platform breakdown is.

I know just on Steam alone the game has over 200,000 concurrent players on a daily basis and it goes on sale to $10-$15 all the time. Plus with the modding community and the game also available on the Epic Games Store, I imagine PC is one of the bigger sellers nowadays

I did, I felt like an idiot, it's like the 4th time (PS3, PC, Xbox 360 and now PS4 - to play on PS5)

i hate the guy incharge of take 2. Honestly we should be looking forward to gta7 by now. But the houser brothers have left, working on a new open world game. And so many other games out, that honestly i would be fine without a gta game again. Let them keep milking it for the next 8 years.

Seriously! We all joke about Todd Howard constantly re-selling Skyrim to us, but it has NOTHING on GTA V

Same applies to Mario Kart & Elder Scrolls. Why rush out new entries when the older entries are still selling?

Probably MK9 (hoping for it to be a Switch 2 launch title). Could see GTA 6 being next and then ES6. Ultimately, I could see all these titles launching between 2024 and 2026.

Shiiiiit, we may get to MK11 before either of the others

It starts to feel like "who still doesn't have this game?" 150 million is nothing compared to hardware that can play gta5, but most games just naturally slow down.

Oddly enough, I still don't, lol. I feel like many people have double and even triple dipped to own it on every platform it gets released on. Not to take away from its impressive sales mind you.

everyone that plays it, their younger brothers and releatives catches on. And their friends. It's a cycle that never ends.
