A lifetime for Switch similar to 3DS would mean a Switch until 2026.

Thank you for this Chart. The Switch will easily surpass the 100M.

I would be really curious to see Switch -vs- GBA (for like the first 3 years on market), because GBA in its short lifespan managed to sell really a lot of consoles. But i guess we dont have the data needed. I still can not imagine how GBA sold like 81 million when NDS launched only like 3.5-4 years after GBA. Of course GBA was not at 81 million units right then, but still its live was kinda short. e.g. Japan: GBA sold like a bit more than 4 million units in Japan 2004+2005+2006+2007 combined. Lifetime (till end of 2007) it sold around 15.3 million units. So it was like launch untill End of 2003 roughly 11.3 million units. It launched in March 2001. So it was 11.3 million units in 34 month. In the same time frame Switch sold 11.4 million units in Japan. But GBA Japan 2004 was just 2.5 million units. So right now Switch is quite far ahead, already.
