Damn Switch is 2 million up on last year after 4 months despite some stock issues and the pandemic. Truly insane. With a good Fall lineup Switch pretty much guaranteed to have the best year of any system in over a decade: 20+ million!

Pretty impessive for the switch, but the pandemic crisis won't let it be historical. Nintendo is really suffering right now, their plans for the year were pretty messed up (RIP june's direct).

Wow despite the Switch selling nearly an insane 20 Million for the year 2019 alone Switch sales are STILL up 50%. If the Switch were to continue this 50% growth for the rest of 2020 Switch sales for the entire year of 2020 would be at 29MILLION! The only system to sell that much in 1 year was the Nintendo DS, but in terms of Home consoles nothing has sold more the 25Million in one year. The Switch has the potential to be the first one to do it. I know it's gonna be difficult fr the Switch to sustain that 50% growth for the entire year since it's gonna be difficult to top last holiday season with Pokemon Sword & Shield releasing, however I wouldn't rule out the possibility it maintains this growth since Animal Crossing has been huge and this quarantine and the game has fueled hype for the Switch that could last through the year. However, even if the YoY Growth for the Switch drops to a more conservative amount like 30%, the Switch would still be on pace to sell 25Million for the year, which hasn't been done by any system in its 4th Year. IMO there's no way the Switch sells anything less than 22Million in 2020 and I see 25Million for the year very likely.
