Super Mario Maker 2 Debuts at the Top the US Charts for June 2019 - Sales

The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console in the US in June 2019, according to figures from NPD. Overall spending on hardware dropped 33 percent year-on-year to $235 million, while spending on software decreased 13 percent to $959 million.

Super Mario Maker 2 was the best-selling game in the US for the month in terms of dollars. It had a better debut than the previous two games in the franchise, the Wii U and 3DS versions. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled debuted in second place and had the "highest launch month total in Crash Bandicoot franchise history," according to NPD analyst Mat Piscatella.
