Anthem Release Window Revealed

Anthem Release Window Revealed - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 08 May 2018 / 2,832 Views

Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen during the financial conference call for the company for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2018 revealed Anthem will launch in the last month of the next fiscal year.

That means the game will launch in March 2019.

Electronic Arts is being conservative about the outlook for the game, since it is a brand new IP. However, the company did say it is "very excited" about it and that players will "really enjoy playing it."

I share your feelings towards EA regarding Mass Effect but there's so little info revealed about Anthem so far you can't really judge it properly yet.

@SecondWar don't you think so little being revealed, less than a year before release, is a legit reason to be feeling this way?

Bioware and EA can cram Anthem up their collective arses.

I'll be the first to admit it if i turn out to be wrong.. but this just looks and feels like one of those MP games that sells really well on launch because of overhype, has a good player count for about a week or two, then completely flops.
Do we know if theres a SP mode? i guess not taken EA's stance as of late..i'm sure they're putting all their efforts into maximizing the amount of MicroTs and completely effing over the consumer.
EA need to look at the success of other devs/publishers and take note. God of War being the most recent example.

From what people have said, it's basically Destiny - Bioware Edition. They have a story but it's like a team based MP story in an open world. It's a Destiny beater, when Destiny killed itself.

People may enjoy it, some people enjoyed Mass Effect Andromeda. All I want is another Dragon Age game but I don't expect that until 2022.

Dragon Age is getting rebooted if I'm not mistaken, I actually liked Andromeda but it just didn't have the charm of the original trilogy and had the obvious technical problems. Just wish that there was more SP content and the MP was actually really fun imo.

Wait... what? They can't reboot DA, they've basically only just begun actually world building it. DA is meant to be like Elder Scrolls, same world, just different times, just slightly later. It's not like Mass Effect which had a beginning and and end, it will be ongoing with new ongoing threats each game. This is what I want.
