For Pikmin, the new feature mentioned in Famitsu concerns saving. When you save, the game stores day-by-day records of your play. You're free to restart play from the day of your choice.

For Mario Power Tennis, Nintendo has made the game fully Wiimote compatible. You can now swing the Wiimote like a tennis racket to control your swings, performing forehands, backhands, tosses and smashes by swinging the Wiimote as you would a normal racket. For spin shots, you simply change the angle of the Wiimote when swinging. To perform special shots, you press buttons during the swing.

Mario Power Tennis will support play both through the Wiimote on its own and through a Wiimote/Nunchuck combo, the latter presumably allowing you to control your characters on the court.

Do you know buy lindens ? I like it.
My brother often go to the internet bar to buy second life linden and play it.
After school, He likes playing games using these cheap linden with his friend.
One day, he give me many linden dollars and play the game with me.
I came to the bar and found secondlife money was so cheap. So, I also go to play game with him.

i too was a fan of the N64 version but never got on with the cube one (tennis), i do like how theyre doing this sort of thing with the older games though, as long as they are priced cheaply. Its a shame they cant do some alterations like these to VC games, mite make the price a little easier to swallow.

Stats87 (on 13 December 2008)

Pikmin = don't care

Mario Tennis = woot!

although I agree with wfz, Mario Tennis 64 was better

CONMAN15 (on 12 December 2008)

I'm not really interested, but I haven't played pikmin yet. I don't see why they don't just make an awesome mario tennis w/ wii m+, with awesome online, and wii speak. Now that would be something worth getting.

dude17761991hatp (on 12 December 2008)

I believe this is Nintendo's answer to game droughts. We will never be without hardcore titles this way.

peachbuggy (on 12 December 2008)

That means there won't be a proper Mario tennis for Wii. That's a shame. Even though it will probably be good with motion controls i have no desire to play it again.

bobbo19 (on 12 December 2008)

i'm wating for DK jungle beat!

Mrlloyd74 (on 12 December 2008)

I WILL BUY THIS

Grey Acumen (on 12 December 2008)

Has someone already mentioned on VGChartz that All Play on Wii games will come with a reversible game jacket? The standard side has big markings declaring it to be a "PLAY FOR WII" title, but hte back of it has the artwork laid out like a normal Wii game. I really thought that was a nice touch. Grabs your attention at the stores, but lets you view the game jacket as it should be viewed.

Araknie87 (on 12 December 2008)

This is great, now i have the opportunity to get a great Mario Power Tennis.

Bobbuffalo (on 11 December 2008)

I'd wait for DK Jungle beat ;)

I recommend selling the gamecube versions now before the Wii versions hit, so that you can still catch the higher price for them. Once the Wii versions hit there's likely to be a glut of the gamecube versions going second hand and it'll bring the price you can get for them way down.

NiKKoM (on 11 December 2008)

Aaarrghh!! I have those games for my gamecube... :( What to do? Should I buy them again? Awwww... I also bought RE4 for both.. so I probably end up getting these two also... AARRRGH!!

coasterlove (on 11 December 2008)

I think a new game would've been better for the tennis game that is. I think they could've added a lot to the game. Sure I love RE4 on the Wii despite already having the GC version. I felt it added a lot and it will change the feel of this tennis game too and for the better. For some reason though, I would've just wanted to see a new game.

Grey Acumen (on 11 December 2008)

The most important thing to me is that they give online support for the Multiplayer modes in Metroid Prime 2.
It would be nice if they put both onto one disc, but it would likely be more expensive that way anyway. I wasn't planning on it, but I might just grab Mario Power Tennis. Again, online modes would be a huge selling point.

VonShigsy (on 11 December 2008)

Ok i guess, but the most important Wii De Asobu titles are the Metroid ones. I hope Nintendo won't milk us and put both the Primes into 1 disc.

mr_gappy (on 11 December 2008)

so a remake of the gamecube game is going to sell like hotcakes due to the wii mote i wonder if it will support there new motion plus adopter thing for the wii mote it should do since it will be probably a next xmas hit for the rather cheeky nintendo

Naum (on 11 December 2008)

hmm shouldn't they wait for M+ for that tennis game? or are they? :D

wfz (on 11 December 2008)

So Mario Power Tennis is the gamecube version, right? I loved the N64 one a hundred times more.... but oh well, can't complain. This was a pretty good idea to do, instead of making a new tennis game altogether, since there isn't too much they could have added besides the wiimote use.

deathcape (on 11 December 2008)

yes..Mario Power Tennis Wii WILL be HUGE indeed

it's for any new gamer who liked Wii Sports..

I'm getting it..

and this game and Wii Sports PROVE

that IF devs take the time Wiimote can be VERY accurate...
so

no more BS from fanboys about the Wii motion controller not working as promised: blame devs...

about sixaxis..lol..that IS a fail btw
