Guitar Hero Live Sells an Estimated 218K First Week - Sales

Guitar Hero Live sold 218,410 units first week, according to our own estimates, which can be viewed on the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart for the week ending October 24th.

Breaking down the sales by platform, it sold best on the PlayStation 4 with 103,785 units sold (48%). The Xbox One version sold 70,603 units (32%), the Wii U version sold 15,158 units (7%), the PlayStation 3 version sold 14,938 units (7%), and the Xbox 360 version sold 13,926 (6%).

 

Breaking down the sales by region, it comfortably sold best in the USA, with 114,931 units sold (53%). 66,725 units were sold in Europe (31%).

Looking at the European figures in more detail, the game sold 19,491 units in the UK, 11,914 units in Germany, and 10,484 units in France.

Guitar Hero Live launched in North America on October 20th and in Europe on October 23rd.

I'm happy the Wii U version outsold the 360 and PS3 versions. Hopefully it will have better legs than them as well.

lol sounds like Rock Band and Guitar Hero flopped bad

No doubt it was not even close to reaching Activision's forecast numbers, but was on par with many of our expectations.
I really wanted a new entry in the franchise but when the older games are better than the new one you know you did something wrong.
