Miyamoto: Pikmin 4 is 'Very Close to Completion' - News

The next game in the Pikmin franchise is already in development and is in fact nearly complete, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has told Eurogamer.
"It's actually very close to completion," Miyamoto said. "Pikmin teams are always working on the next one."
Nintendo added in a statement that "we can confirm that Pikmin 4 is in development but that is all we can confirm at present."
The last title in the franchise - Pikmin 3 - was released for the Wii U in 2013. It's unknown which platform(s) Pikmin 4 is set to release on.

This just goes to show close the NX actually is to releasing. If it was going to be a WII U game, I'm sure they would have announced it by now but since they don't want to kill of the WII U so soon, they're probably going to announce the game during the NX unveiling.
So the game has been in development from the last 2 years for NX?? Because anyone would think that they used the WiiU hardware to build the game so it has more chances to be on WiiU even if it´s as cross gen game. But of course let´s turn a good news into a bad one, it should be only for NX just like Pokken.
It just makes perfect sense that they're going to be releasing the game for the NX. It's almost finished, so why not announce it? This isn't bad news lol, the WII U's going to be replaced soon enough.

Even a teaser image made in Photoshop in ten minutes put to some music in a five second Youtube video would have been a thousand times better than this. I think Nintendo is forgetting how little surprises go a long way. Which is weird, because that sort of playful thing is exactly the sort of Magic that I'd think they would excel at.
