Batman: Arkham Knight Helped Boost Warner Bros. Game Revenue Up 135% - News

Warner Bros. has released its earnings report for its second fiscal quarter, which ended June 30th.

The company's video game revenue jumped 135 percent year-over-year to $727 million. Strong sales from Batman: Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat X helped make Warner Bros. the "top video game publisher for the first half of the year". No exact figures were provided for either game, however.

Overall, Warner Bros. posted revenue of $3.3 billion, which is up 15 percent when compared to a year ago. Operating income was also up 46 percent to $344 million.

Despite all of the bad publicity surrounding the two games, both were pretty solid titles. It's just a shame that the PC port of Arkham Knight was so crappily done when compared to the other versions.

They are doing it wrong. Their focus should be mobile like konami is doing.

Close to a billion dollars, impressive. It'd be cool if other Hollywood studios diversified and opened gaming divisions.
