Girls Mode 3 and Dying Light Top Japanese Charts - News

Girls Mode 3: Kirakira Code (3DS) was the top selling game in Japan for the week April 19, according to Media Create, as reported by Gematsu. The game sold 55,179 units in its first week on sale.

There were three other games that debuted in the top 20. Dying Light (PS4) debuted at number two with sales of 25,530 units. Future Card Buddy Fight: Yuujou no Bakunetsu Fight (3DS) debuted at number three with sales of 16,630 units. Saints row IV: Re-Elected (PS4) debuted at number 17 with sales of 4,776 units.

Looking at hardware sales, the 3DS was the top selling platform with sales of 21,824 units. The PlayStation 4 sold 15,419 units, the PlayStation Vita sold 14,568 units, and the PlayStation 3 sold 4,175 units. The Wii U sold 6,234 units and the Xbox One sold 170 units.

Japan need to step up their console games. Seriously, most of people in Japan are just into more Mobile gaming than actual real gaming.... If this state go one, i wouldnt surprised if the Japanese console gaming industry will crashed in the near future. And all it left will be nothing but a disease called smartphone/tablet gaming.

Oooooo, 55000 for the top selling game. With sales like that in Japan it seems developers can start retiring early. Jeeez, remember when Japan led the world in the games industry? Oh well, im sure the mobile market is booming.

It was just last month that the top selling game in the U.S. was Majora's Mask 3D at 25k units. Should developers stop making games there too? Wait for a big release to come out.
