Bossa Studios has announced that Surgeon Simulator has sold more than two million units since it was first released in April 2013, according to Gamasutra.

"Thanks to everyone who has played Surgeon Simulator and made it such a global success," said Bossa co-founder Henrique Olifiers. "It has been really amazing to see this title go from a game jam project to a full release across multiple formats and is testament to the originality and creativity we nurture here at Bossa Studios."

To celebrate the milestone the game is 75 percent off for 24 hours on Steam and will remain at 50 percent off for the rest of the week. The game is also 50 percent off on the Apple App Store.
