Star Citizen Passes $50 Million in Funding - News

The wildly successful crowdfunded game Star Citizen has hit another milestone. The game has surpassed $50 million i funding from more than 500,000 people. Studio Cloud Imperium has raised $10 million since March of this year.
The jump in money raised is due to the release of four new ships last week. The cheapest of which sells for $200, while the most expensive sells for $400. At the time of writing the game has raised $51.11 million from 525,490 people, according to the games website.
With the success of crowdfunding the studio employs 268 people in both full-time and contractor jobs as of June of this year.
