Madden NFL 13 Sells 900,000 Units Opening Day - News

Electronic Arts has announced that Madden NFL 13 has sold more than 900,000 units in its opening day. This is a seven percent increase over last years Madden, and sets a new record for the franchise. Online play has also increase 28 percent compared to last years game.
"Madden NFL 13 is the most innovative entry the franchise has ever seen and we're thrilled that fans have embraced it with such a huge first day," said Andrew Wilson, Executive Vice President of EA Sports. "As we approach the kickoff of the NFL season next week, the football community is whetting their appetites by playing Madden NFL 13 in record numbers. With the combination of the cutting-edge Infinity Engine and new Connected Careers fans are truly getting their football fix with the best Madden NFL game ever."

I think it would be sold in ps3 and xbox360 like last year because of the psvita version
madden 12 released on the psp/wii/360/ps3/ps2. Even the ps2 version outsold the psp version according to npd so madden sells very poorly on handhelds. Madden 13 is not coming out on either the ps2 or psp, the 360/ps3 version of 2013 probably sold close to 100k more than 2012.
In USA it's Madden, in the rest of the world it's FIFA.
