Summary

Brütal Legend tells the tale Eddie Riggs, the ultimate roadie. The "roadie's roadie", Eddie is the 1st person anyone calls when they need guitars tuned or stages rigged. With a love for hot rods and a photographic memory for every Heavy Metal album cover, and the lyrics those albums contained, committed to memory, Eddie has always felt out of place, like he should have been born earlier, when the music was real.

One night a stage accident knocks Eddie unconscious. With his...

There are only two solos for commands. Rally, and the Flag. The Flag is important in advanced play, and if you ever need Rally in multiplayer, you're probably in big trouble already.

The need to have to do a rhythm minigame to issue orders to troops (RTS) to do stuff killed it for me. And I wanted to really like it. I guess the stuff people didn't like in it, I liked, but what people want here didn't interest me at all.

We'll see man. If your friends didn't buy this because of what they heard, total loss for them. The stage battles are a blast.

But, on the opposite end, you have to think about the more casual gamers/ metal fans. Everyone I know who likes Metal and has heard of this game is either stoked, and ended up buying/ loving it, or wants it. More casual gamers don't go into the game with a pretentious mindset, and therefore, don't necessarily act with prejudice in the same manner as Hard Core gamers.

Also, although I'm not all that confident in VGCharts accuracy (I'm sure the actual numbers are lower), if real sales trend similarily to the VG Chatz sales, this game most definitely has legs, no doubt caused somewhat by word of mouth.

Its should hit a million with both versions combined.

Which is pretty good I'd say.

The RTS elements aren't bad. Unpolished? Yes. Frustrating?Sometimes. Bad? No. Fun? For the most part, yes. I am sure that if a sequel is made, Schafer will improve the Stage Battles
