@Kerotan - I don't think the average
consumer can really tell the difference
between 720p, 900p, or 1080p. So I
consider that a nuance to the average
consumer. In fact, even avid gamers rely
on Digital Foundry to find the native

Yeah, everyone cares
about resolution at some level because
140p would be unacceptable. So next time
just use some common sense when

I'm pretty sure almost everyone who
buys a console cares about resolution.
Would the majority be happy playing
games at 140p? Nope so almost everyone
care. What they don't care about is the
diff between 900p and 1080p. The parity
does affect a lot of people in the
lifetime of a console. I remember people
back in the day saying Fifa 08 was
better on Xbox. ANd you heard that for
loads of Xbox games until the PS3 hard
hitters came out. Likewise you will get
a lot of kids telling their friends the
PS4 is better because it is for most 3rd
party games.

@Puggsly Yeah, there are some games, the
elite ip's as it were, that have grown
to sell on name alone. That reach out to
the casual gamer. Assasin's Creed is
one of thoses ip's. Saying that, a real
great 2nd week here, even though
reviewers hav'nt been overly kind.

@Kerotan - What I am saying is people on
the web can be out of touch with the
average consumer. There are vocal people
on the web that really think sub-1080p
can have a significant impact on sales,
but the reality is most console gamers
aren't focused on those kind of

Which is great, I don't
want developers to hold back on graphics
to make 1080p a priority at all times.
Those who really care about resolution
should be on a PC.
