Game Overview

Alien: Isolation is an upcoming first person shooter/action game in the Alien series being developed by The Creative Assembly and due to be published by Sega some time in 2014. Specific platforms have yet to be announced, but it is widely expected to release on current and next generation consoles, as well as Windows PC.

Alien: Isolation stars Amanda Ripley-McClaren, daughter of Ellen Ripley, and is set on a space station. Although a first person shooter, melee weapons play a prominent role in the game as well, as does stealth gameplay and staples of the survival horror genre.

@vandrell - If you check out the alien
xbox one page you'll see i commented
there as well. That AND mentioning xbox
one's sales in my very post you
commented on may just indicate a little
that i was commenting on the figure as a
whole. There is no overall game page to
comment on when a title is
multi-platform so we all generally
comment on the most popular console its
selling on. And to top it off if you
count isolation's total first week
sales it flopped anyway! Total sales
were expected to reach a min of 500,000
first week to reach its overall min goal
of 1mill across all platforms.I didn't
want it to flop, it just has. Just hope
it breaks even...

Flopped my arse, the figure above is
just for PS4. Add them up with the other
platforms and there is a decent launch
here. Unfortunately I don't get the
system used here, clicking a game title
should list out general summary of sales
figures on every platform, not just one.

Noo, it flopped! They tried so hard as
well. Its just not gonna have legs, its
about to get swallowed by the annual
xmas couldn't have been
advertised any harder for a non-AAA
title, we all know its no colonial
marines, the xbox ones sales are
abysmal. Such a shame...

Agree with Mr Puggsly on this one.
People got burned with the last Aliens
game bad and will likely be holding off
from purchasing the game early. Still,
not a bad first week and given the
strong average reviews for the game it
will likely have legs.
Mr Puggsly (on 23 October 2014)
Well people that bought the last Aliens
game might be wary. Regardless, it looks
like this is gonna be a successful game.
