Game Overview

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open world action/adventure game set in The Lord of the Rings universe. It was developed by Monolith Productions and Behaviour Interactive, and published by Warner Bros. on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

Players take on the role of a ranger called Talion, whose family has been killed by the servants of Sauron, as well as himself. However, something happens and he is back alive, but tethered to a Wraith that has lost its memories. It's up to Talion, with the help of this Wraith, to exact revenge on the ones who killed his family.

I really enjoyed this game on the X1, so
out of morbid curiosity I've been
wanting to try it on the 360. I heard
bad things and its actually worse than I
imagined.

Visually, this game is a
hot mess. Between the quarter HD
resolution, blurry textures, pop in,
screen tear, and frame drops this might
be one of the most poorly optimized
games I've seen on 7th. Especially
coming from a major publisher. It looks
like they were working with the specs of
the 6th gen Xbox, no
joke.

Regardless... its actually
still fun. The gameplay is pretty much
intact. I wouldn't recommend this port,
but its still more enjoyable than most
360 games.

I would steer clear from
the PS3 version though. I can't imagine
playing this game with an even worse
frame rate.
