Game Overview

Kinect Sports Rivals is an upcoming motion-sensing sports game being developed by Rare and set to be published by Microsoft Studios exclusively for the Xbox One. It was set to be released as a launch title for the Xbox One, but was pushed back to Spring 2014, to allow Rare to polish it more.

The latest entry in Rare's Kinect Sports series of games, this is set to be the first entry on the Xbox One and will in turn utilise the Kinect 2.0 sensor for the first time. New sports include bowling, jetski racing, rock climbing, soccer, target shooting, and tennis.

I'm surprised MS hasn't bundled this
with the $499 Xbox One yet. It just
comes with Forza, a non-Kinect

Perhaps the $499 Kinect should
come with this and Forza.

This will be a bundle for the kinect sku
this holiday no question. So in the end,

Might just be a true flop now that the
Kinect-less XOne is a real thing. Would
make a solid bundle if you buy the
Kinect separtely -- but not sure if it
would still sell well even in that form.

@ganoncrotch -
1. Obviously the
reviews are gonna be mixed given the
2. Nobody expected Kinect to be
as accurate as a controller. Its a
unique way to play games and best used
on experiences that don't translate
well to a controller, its not intended
to replace the controller.
3. Kinect
doesn't need an AAA game. It needs more
noteworthy casual games given casual
games actually sell.
4. There isn't a
game that MS can create that will
justify bundling Kinect with every
console. They need to make a bundle that
doesn't include Kinect, period.
