I can't say that the game is anything original and it had its flaws but to be honest, I found Enchanted Arms to be the most enjoyable console jrpg I played on the 360 (not counting Final Fantasy 13, Resonance of Fate, Magna Carta 2 and The Last Remnant because I didn't play those). I had a lot of fun with the game. I have to admit that I've fallen out of love with jrpgs a lot. They are just too much for my patience it seems. And then I pick up this seemingly mediocre jrpg for $10 and I love it!

The story wasn't anything special but downright hilarious. I'm not sure that I have laughed this hard playing a video game ever. Battle system was great (SRPG combat) though admittedly too slow for a game where you go from random to random in dungeons. You can alleviate the random battle frustration with Auto battle + Fast Forward though. lol.

I had a lot of fun micromanaging my team as well. Beefing up their attributes, buying skills. Collecting golems (think pokemon) and beefing them up. Also if you are tired of running around searching for a save point because you have to leave the game or you hate having to lose a lot of progress because you died far away from a save point, you'll be glad to know that this game has save anywhere (outside battle).

I spent about a good 50+ hours with the game. Fun ride, got 1000/1000 gamerscore (lol), I love that I got this game for only $10 at the bargain bin (came with a small manga booklet based on the game as well). Wouldn't have regret paying $60 for this.

A few hours in and it seems fairly decent. Not spectacular by any means but far from being bad.
Bonus points for having dual audio.

Not the best jrpg around but it did entertain me. If you like jrpgs give it a try, it may very well entertain you as well, as long you don't expect AAA material.
