Game Overview

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness is a tactical role-playing video game developed by Nippon Ichi Software for the PlayStation 2, Playstation Portable (as Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness), and Nintendo DS (Disgaea DS).

The game is noteable for its square grid battle system, and follows the demon prince Laharl, who has rising from a long sleep to find that his father King Krichevskoy is dead. Vowing to reclaim the throne of the Netherworld, Laharl and Etna, his vassal, set out with others to save the day.

Man I loved this game.

The goofy
characters and cornball situations
really made me like the characters,
which caused me to be completely
blindsided when things got more serious
later on. It's just a shame that if you
want to finish all the extras you have
to grind for an ungodly amount of time
to make your characters strong enough.
