Game Overview

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a Japanese role-playing game, developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Its is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, taking place three years after "The Fall", it follows Serah Farron, the younger sister of FFXIII-2 protagonist Lightning, and Noel Kreiss, a mysterious boy from a desolate future.

On the day that Vanille and Fang saved Gran Pulse from "The Fall", Lightning went missing. Everyone says that she never made it out of the crystal pillar, but Serah remembers her smile on that day. Meanwhile, Lightning has been tasked with guarding the goddess Etro form a mysterious man named Caius Ballad, who seems to want the collapse of time itself.

@Kresnik. Hopefully. Nobody wants to see
anymore of these sequels.

I wonder what Lightning Returns will do
on the 360. Given the trend from XIII
-> XIII-2, it's not looking good. I'm
sure it'll be a big drop on the PS3 as
well, but that version may still pull in
some "decent enough" numbers.

@T.Rexington Why? these sales aren't
very good for a game that bears the name
final fantasy, even if its a sequel to
the worst ff ever made 630k is quite
avg.

Also, I wonder what the DLC sales were
for this game. SE went heavy with the
DLC. They should've made a season pass.
