DieAppleDie (on 24 April 2013)
lol i still see retail copies selling for 20€
primogen18 (on 24 June 2011)
yeah I agree with you but I am wanting to pick this up for the sake of breezing through the single player and for completions sake, would you think it's worth it?
spurgeonryan (on 22 June 2011)
Well primogen I feel that this game is the reason that shooters on the wii have such a bad rap. I have this game, and I am not impressed, plus that beginning training level is a spirit breaker, no online, argh!
primogen18 (on 02 May 2011)
I would say it's impressive legs dispite the 3 superior installments that came after this
Mr Puggsly (on 29 April 2011)
Very impressive legs. But Wii doesn't have much competition in regards to quality shooters.
primogen18 (on 11 April 2011)
then again this didn't sell great at first, goldeneye and the rest of the COD series blew this away in terms of time to make it to a million.
primogen18 (on 11 April 2011)
This is what happens when you kill a series on a system by screwing your audience up with broken promises, gimped games, and missing entries. The first is the highest selling and itjust goes down from there :(
DavidValbu (on 07 April 2011)
adjusted up by a lot? 2 M??
kanjitech18 (on 06 April 2011)
When did this hit 2 million?
primogen18 (on 03 February 2011)
This game has some crazy legs even still at only a few thousand a week
primogen18 (on 26 October 2010)
I already have W@W, MWRE, and preordered BO, is this game worth it just to own all of them and breeze through single player?
spurgeonryan (on 19 April 2010)
Yup just bought it for ten bucks. Bring on the 3 dollar profit!
mpereira (on 10 April 2010)
$9.99 on GameStop
Zucas (on 23 February 2010)
atma- this game has been at $20 since about late 2007 and that is where it started to pick up in sales. Actually a fairly good game and still picked up widely. World at War, on the other hand, is still full priced.
spurgeonryan (on 13 February 2010)
why does one page say below a million and one says above?
atma998 (on 08 February 2010)
Wow now it is selling 7.6k units/week, 3 times more than Call of Duty: World at War. At this rate, the game will soon become a million seller.
primogen18 (on 20 January 2010)
good to see this sold well, but more happy World at War is selling even stronger now, hopefully MWR keeps that trend up!
Chrizum (on 27 November 2009)
This game it outselling WaW on a weekly basis. :-S
atma998 (on 19 November 2009)
LoL this game is still selling over 5k units/week.
zzyoshiman (on 08 November 2009)
lol, rayman is in call of duty
Strategyking92 (on 16 June 2009)
why is there a... rayman 3 screen shot in there?
SaviorX (on 18 May 2009)
I have a feeling this game is slightly OVERtracked.
I'm finding it hard to believe that it is only 10k away from matching Red Steel, the best selling Wii FPS.
primogen18 (on 13 May 2009)
Hm, both CoD titles to hit the Wii sold 1 million +... and how long will we wait for another?
Zucas (on 24 April 2009)
Anyone that says this game has horrible controls did not play the game long enough. This game has an adjustment area to adjust the controls on how fast they move and even the camera movement. After a lot of playing with those settings I was able to find controls that work almost as well as shooters on Wii now.
Sure camera issues will still happen every now and then, but the controls on this blew anything away until Metroid Prime 3 came out. Most people just didn't give it a chance. Your loss. This was Wii's best shooting controls for a long time.
puffy (on 19 April 2009)
This game was terrible... I owned it... Traded it in very quickly... The controls were shit.. The graphics made it almost unplayable and I am being serious it had something like 50m draw distances and then shit.
Games like this are the reason FPS's on Wii have such small openings.. Consumers are smart, they're being cautious

SJGohan3972 (on 29 March 2009)
man I must have missed this, I thought CoDWaW was the best selling shooter on the Wii... well besides Links Crossbow training but then again that's a Nintendo shooter and that's just not fair (too awesome for words)
Kenology (on 29 March 2009)
Wii owners love Call of Duty! If MW2 doesn't come out on Wii, Activision are a bunch of idiots.
oliist (on 28 March 2009)
Actraiser screenshot Killed In Action.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 27 March 2009)
yep!? : )
Godot (on 26 March 2009)
That's a surprise.
11ht11 (on 26 March 2009)
naruto3336 (on 26 March 2009)
WOWOWOWOWOW!!!! unexpected 1 million seller.
SaviorX (on 26 March 2009)
Wow. This sold a million copies.
There were some people craving for a 1st-person shooter on the Wii that we haven't been aware of.It isn'e selling millions like COD4, but this just shows that Wii owners want something, anything.
COD3 wasn't exactly "great" either.
Zucas (on 26 March 2009)
Finally updated. Thx ioi.
Chrizum (on 27 January 2009)
It's probably around 950k now with Japan and Others data. Should become a million seller in february.
Myviewing (on 25 January 2009)
Why's there an Actraiser screenshot in the gallery?
Daileon (on 10 January 2009)
One more million seller confirmed!
Zucas (on 01 January 2009)
According to ELSPA it's sold 100,000 at least in the UK. So I'd say it's close to 250k-300k in the entire region.
st_muscat0 (on 16 December 2008)
Sold better than PS3 version, since this doesn't have any japan or other sales.
hunter_alien (on 15 December 2008)
Million seller LT with others? Probably :D
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 15 December 2008)
yeah, i see this more in shops than the new one, i'm sure it did well in Europe!
maybe a million seller!
Zucas (on 14 December 2008)
Chrizum- well COD3 sold quite well in others. My guess is about 300k and still selling in the UK. So yea if it is ever added we got a game that's really close and may be there by mid 2009.
Chrizum (on 14 December 2008)
Might become a million seller next month if Others were tracked.
stof (on 14 December 2008)
Well I'll be damned. Thats one hell of an upward adjust. And it's still selling too.
This is a pretty good sign for World at War having prolonged sales. I wonder what this game is like with Euro added in
11ht11 (on 14 December 2008)
i actually still see many copies of this games in stores
Zucas (on 14 December 2008)
Holy shit did this get a boost in America. 580,000 now in America.
fmc83 (on 25 November 2008)
Despite some slowdowns I really liked this game. Actually brought me back into fps. Wii controls are just great for this genre. They still need some improvement, but it "feels" realistic.
Can't wait to buy cod5!
I'm not sure about the others sales, but I bought it for 20€. so the bargain-desk could give it a jump.
Strategyking92 (on 10 November 2008)
favorite game on wii.
Zucas (on 18 September 2008)
It sold a decent bit in Europe. IN the UK we know the title sold at least 100,000. So in between the 100k and 200k mark. And I'm guessing in the other areas put in another 100k.
This title is definitely god and probably around 600k.
11ht11 (on 15 March 2008)
its missing europe data, so im guessing it sold 450,000 units?
jedistev (on 07 March 2008)
Not bad games but annoy over poor programmed on Wii cos often glitches or jerky movement come up on wii..
controls is good but metroid is best and
take a notes on metroid and use it for COD5
DarkNight_DS (on 18 July 2007)
Wow... you guys were hard on this game... I figure it's about a 6... if it had online and was a bit longer, I'd have given it a 7. The controls are pretty good for being so early in the Wii's life cycle. Obviously no where near as good as Metroid's seem to be though...
