Game Overview

Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter game developed by Rockstar Vancouver and published by Rockstar Games. It is the third title in the Max Payne franchise and was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2012.

This is the first game in the series that was not developed by Remedy Entertainment and not written by series creator Sam Lake. The lead writer of Max Payne 3 was Dan Houser, who was also the writer of Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption.

Runs like a dream compared to GTA4. Also
nice to see the retention of New York
Minute and higher difficulties in what I
thought could have been a mediocre
sequel.

Not a fan of the disorienting
nature of the cut-scenes though. Yes we
get it Rockstar, Max is always drunk and
high off painkillers. Very clever.

So far, it looks and runs great, but
combat an be clunky, you have to watch
the intro before you can change graphics
settings and it doesn't detect native
res. Also it's frozen a few times, and
crashed a couple others.

Story
isn't anything special so far but voice
acting is great tho. There are some
great little touches visually as well,
things like wrinkles in shirts changing
as you run etc.
