| gurok (on 25 July 2008) Bad game. Bad bad game. Buy Toki Tori instead. This game's story is overly simple. After the second level, I knew what was going to happen. Inventory is borked. You can pick up five rockets and then five rockets again and you'll have ten rockets. That works. However, as soon as you pick up a new weapon, your crew apparently toss all of the old ammunition overboard. As a result, there's no way to hoard different varieties of ammunition. You either use one type and hoard it, or you don't bother with weapons (they don't really seem that necessary anyway). The levels are repetitive sets of interconnected no-challenge filled with mindless enemies that take about half-a-dozen shots to kill. I'm about halfway through the story, but man, it's tough. It's not a test of wits/skill in any way, but a test of patience. Most of the time I'll finish a level in one sitting, but only because I dread the thought of having to go through a single level for a second time. | |
