atma998 (on 10 April 2011)
Cool EMEAA sales added. Now at 2.07M!
atma998 (on 24 April 2010)
Yeah some games in the chart are only showing NA numbers. The same goes for Call of Duty 3 (Wii). Someone should fix it.
st_muscat0 (on 26 February 2010)
Ha outsold Step and Roll in NA this week and this is in its 170th week, not its 2nd.
sep85dd (on 21 February 2010)
in the charts, there are only 0.84 M for this game...whats wrong?
atma998 (on 23 January 2010)
1.38M and still selling 6k/week. Great!
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 02 April 2009)
a launch title still selling, it's amazing what sega can do! : )
stof (on 27 March 2009)
At least 1.2 Mill I said. I'm good.
prosi (on 26 March 2009)
Great games deserves great sales
1 million ;)
Zucas (on 26 March 2009)
Finally updated as well. Thx Brett.
Chrizum (on 29 January 2009)
Why isn't this tracked in Others? It sold more than Lego Star Wars in the UK (over 200k), so it's safe to say it sold at least 600k in Others.
NeoGohan (on 11 January 2009)
good game i don't regret on buying this
stof (on 09 January 2009)
So it's at over .83 million with NA and UK sales. The rest of Europe might put this at least in the 1.2 mil range.
Games fanboy (on 25 December 2008)
Where is the others numbers???
it sold extremely well here to ...
bigjon (on 13 December 2008)
yea 1 million... another good ole wii launch titles makes it : )
novasonic (on 27 November 2008)
Yeah the minigames were lame. The main game was so much fun though! I was never able to get past some of the levels though..
Vil3 (on 26 November 2008)
you are corect...hope they can ad atleast the 200k from uk...better that than no european numbers at all..
Vas-y (on 26 November 2008)
If I'm correct, ELSPA is saying 200k at least by now. Now we can be sure it is a million seller :).
Chrizum (on 12 November 2008)
I'm 100% sure this game is a million seller.
kopstudent89 (on 20 September 2008)
hmm... my guess is .8 mil
trestres (on 23 July 2008)
Probably platinum already, since SEGA games are very popular in the Other's region. Just missing 430k, and as we know the game has sold 100k+ in the UK alone.
Zucas (on 19 July 2008)
updated American sales and Japan added. Sweet. Haha I'm assuming that with all these updates in American sales that ioi will update Europe/Other next week.
Gearbox (on 13 June 2008)
did u no SEGA is making super monkey balls for the new iPhone. Did you also no the iPhone Gen 2 will be like a handheld game console, the graphics will probably be liek DS graphics
Hoffmole (on 29 March 2008)
The price of this game has plummeted in UK recently. I got it for £15 new and it's worth it, though I wouldn't have paid £40 for it. The price drop may give it another boost of sales. Where the hell are the numbers?
Friis (on 17 March 2008)
As Crizum said, this could actually become a million seller, when EU and Japan numbers are added.
At this point it has sold:
- 400.000 i USA
- Over 100.000 i UK (http://www.elspa.com/?i=3942)
- If we say UK is 25% of sales i EU (yeah, i know it perhaps is more, just and estimated number!) that would put it at 400.000 in EU.
- Over 41.000 i Japan as of 18th of august (http://vgchartz.com/japweekly.php?date=39313&console=&maker=Sega&disp=Japanese+Name&boxartz=1)
- 841.000 in US, EU and Japan put together.
- Last week it sold 1.300 worldwide, if we double (because that is without the EU numbers) it is at 2.600 worldwide weekly.
- It would have to sell 2.600 in 62 weeks before it would reach the 1 mio mark. This is without Australia and games tend to have longer legs in EU so perhaps it is selling more on a weekly basis than 2.600
Konklusion (if all the estimates above is correct):
- Is it going to sell 1 million? Perhaps in the long run but not anytime soon!
- Is it going to ship 1 million? Most likely!
RidersDX (on 15 March 2008)
THe mini games weren't good. I just try focusing on the main game anyway.
Fastrabbit09 (on 14 March 2008)
thre are some fun minigames...my friend and i played squash for hours one night
but very hit and miss in general with regards to the minigames
Jlaff (on 26 February 2008)
haha that made me laugh, "Of course you can expect this when buying a game about rolling monkeys in balls". Just sounded hilarious.
T013 (on 09 February 2008)
Sorry, but I really didn't like this game... there were like 5 good minigames (which were wicked fun, but still) and the game just looked a lot more childish than the original SMB. Of course you can expect this when buying a game about rolling monkeys in balls, but it was even worse than I thought.
Chrizum (on 07 February 2008)
Does anyone realize this could become a million seller when PAL numbers are in? I doubt it, but it's possible.
acidzebra (on 13 November 2007)
I agree with stof that the minigames generally suck. The game itself is fun for a lazy sunday afternoon.
woodpd (on 26 October 2007)
This game needs to be combined with the Japanese one (http://vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=4445)
stof (on 11 October 2007)
I played it. It was a lot of fun and figured that it just wouldn't be the same with a joystick. That said, the minigames were complete unplayable crap.
