Game Overview

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a third-person action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube. It was published by Ubisoft in November 2003 and is a reboot of the Prince of Persia series created in 1989. A mobile and a Game Boy Advance version were released shortly after the original. A remastered HD version was also released in 2010 for the PlayStation 3 in the form of Prince of Persia HD Trilogy and individually on the PlayStation Network.

In the game, players control The Prince, who after being tricked into opening the Sands of Time by the traitorous Vizier, inadvertently turns nearly everyone in the kingdom into sand monsters. Only The Prince, Vizier and a Princess held prisoner named Farah manage to remain unchanged due to the items in their possession. The Prince is holding a dagger he found that allows him to reverse time briefly. With this in hand, The Prince and Farah go on a journey to undo what he caused and stop Vizier from becoming more powerful. The Sand of Time's gameplay consists of puzzles, melee combat and platforming, all of which take advantage of time manipulation and The Prince's acrobatic skills.
